NextGen Breeders Workshop
The NextGen Breeders workshop is a one-day event that offers Early Career Researchers an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow plant breeders and researchers from across Australia. The workshop is co-hosted by the ARC Training Centre and IRTG for Accelerating Crop Genetic Gain.
Workshop attendance includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, social activity, and dinner.
Workshop attendees must be registered to attend the 17th Australasian Plant Breeding Conference on 4-6th June 2025 in Freemantle, Perth. Registration for APBC is now open.

A limited number of $1,000 travel grants are available to help students and ECRs attend APBC 2025 in Perth. To apply, submit your abstract by 1 March 2025 and be selected to present your work to be eligible. Travel grant applications close 19 March and can be made here.
Applications are open to all, with priority given to Early Career Researchers and breeders affiliated with the ARC Training Centre or IRTG for Accelerating Crop Genetic Gain.
