Centre objectives.

Develop and apply cutting-edge predictive breeding technologies into plant and animal breeding operations.

Develop and deliver relevant and engaging training opportunities for students, researchers, and industry personnel across the plant and animal breeding value chain.

Establish and strengthen public-private partnerships to produce industry-ready graduates, improve research outcomes, translation and uptake, and sustain impactful collaboration into the future.

Who we are.

The Training Centre has five nodes across Australia:

  • The University of Queensland
  • The University of Western Australia
  • La Trobe University
  • University of Wollongong
  • University of New England

We have 36 national and international partner organisations. The Training Centre is supported by the Australian Research Council through the ITTC (Industrial Transformation Training Centres) Scheme.
